In today’s episode we dive into a letter all about how to build and grow your business at a slower and gentler pace and actually believe that it’s possible for you too when you’ve been taught that hustling and burning yourself out is the best path to reaching your goals.
Oh this was my letter!! Thank you so much Jen and Sara 💛 I missed it in February but Keeley messaged me and I’ve listened three times ✨ I’m now just a month and a bit away from turning 47, so it must have been nearly two years ago that I submitted, but still so relevant and valuable now. I did, end up burnt out in September of that year, but it was down to the toxic culture of where I was working and since then, I have changed my job to a different company that actively prioritises wellbeing and encourages us to take care of ourselves and other's and not push ourselves to the limits. It's still pretty full on, and productivity and efficiency are of course important, but the difference is palpable and I am edging towards reducing my hours further at some point . In my creative life, I just do the one next thing that's filling me with excitement, I let it take as long as it needs, and I try not to burden my creativity with heavy goals, just small hopes. It's so lovely to hear your voices and your words of wisdom 💛
